Flutter-by Experiment
It was suggested at Basketry SA we make animals for an exhibition next year. Mostly this idea was dismissed as being too difficult, I also thought this but decided to give it a go . Here is the resulting 'common brown butterfly.' These form waves of fluttering wings as they rise from the grass and then settle again from December through to early Autumn here at Nirvana Farm.
'Common Brown Butterfly' 46 cm wide X 38 cm high. Frames:willow Body:twined banana Wings: banana & philodendron, linen thread, wire.
